Club Evening
Members meet on a Thursday evning at the court at 17.30 and usually finish off the evening in the Jolly Sailor
Adult Tournament Sunday 21st June 2009
12 Players competed in our 2009 tournament. After several hours of play, with an interval for a barbeque lunch, the competition was whittled down to the final four: Linda Cooke & Charles Morgan v Richard Fitzgerald & Andy Towell. We were treated to a spectacular final. From two games to love to R&A, L&C caught up, on we went to six five and with no tie break being played the game continued with a final score of nine seven in favour of Richard & Andy. Many thanks to: Robin & Gwyn Hughes for the use of the meadow; Philip Cooke for grass cutting; Nicola and Jenny for food supplies; barbeque masterchef Charles for his culinary skills; Diana & Linda for organisation, and last but not least all the players for making it a truly competitive day.
